Rules
Last updated: 17 October 2026
On Matchiversary you make a loving profile of your favourite person and share it privately. These rules say what isn’t allowed, how we handle reports, and what you can do if we restrict your profile. They apply to everyone who makes or shares a profile.
1. What isn’t allowed
- Photos or details of anyone who hasn’t agreed to be shown.
- Anyone under 18.
- Nudity or sexual content.
- Content that insults, threatens, harasses or discriminates against anyone, or that glorifies violence.
- Contact details or other private information someone doesn’t want shared (address, phone number, workplace).
- Photos or texts you have no right to use, such as other people’s pictures.
- Pretending to be someone else, advertising and spam.
- Anything else that’s against the law.
2. Reporting a profile
Every shared profile has "Report this profile" at the bottom. You don’t need an account. Choose a reason (no consent, someone under 18, offensive or hurtful, something else) and add a message if you like. You can also write to us at contact@schimo.ch, with the link and what’s wrong.
3. What happens after a report
- The profile is hidden immediately and its link stops working, without the report being reviewed by us.
- A human reviews every report, as soon as possible. We don’t decide automatically.
- If the profile breaks these rules or the law, we delete it. For serious or repeated breaches we can also close the account.
- If it doesn’t, we lift the restriction, and the profile can be shared again with a new link.
- We can also delete a profile that breaks these rules or the law, and close the account, without a report.
- We don’t review profiles before they are shared.
- Where the law requires it, we report content to the authorities.
4. If your profile was restricted
You see "Under review" on your profile and can still edit it, but not share it. We tell you by email what we decided and why.
If you disagree, reply to that email or write to contact@schimo.ch. We look at the decision again and tell you the result.
5. Contact
For reports, questions about these rules and requests from authorities: contact@schimo.ch. We answer in English and German.
6. Changes
We update these rules when the service changes. The version published here applies.
